Rainy Days

Hi everyone!  It’s the weekend!  This usually makes everyone happy, because it means no boring work and quite often two whole days to spend doing exactly what you want to do.

Apparently it is meant to be summer here – it’s the middle of June, nearly the longest day – but there is this happening outside:

I’m not sure if you can see, but it is really windy and rainy, and the sky all of a sudden goes a very dark purple/grey and then amazing amounts of rain falls all of sudden, making everyone wet and grumpy.

Needless to say for a lad, the perils of rain are even greater than for humans, because we can literally get soaked through whereas humans jut get their clothes wet – and that isn’t nearly as bad when the rest of you is dry.

Yesterday was another rainy day and the journey home for me and Mike was quite tense, we are never quite sure if the bag is enough protection against the rain and we want to avoid a night on the radiator drying out at all costs.  Spending a night there eats into precious mooching time, and you can never have too much time to mooch as a fully fledged lad – it is one of the first things you learn at Lad School.

Luckily we survived the downpours yesterday unscathed.  The girl had to immediately change into her pyjamas as soon as she got in.  We think this might have been a handy excuse, as she seems to do this everyday regardless of the weather.  Laziness really.  Tsk…

More soon,

Love Momu. x
