Travis and his Hat – Update

wpid-DSC1072.jpg

Hello everyone!

It has been grey and dreary here lately – Travis says his hat has come at just the right time.

Travis

He says it is very warm, and when he wears the flaps down like this it keeps his ears nice and toasty.  He also says it has the added bonus of shutting out some of the lad noise that goes on around here when there are lots of us together that Travis says he does not need to hear all the time.  He reckons he is super sorted for the next mystery that needs solving.

The only slight problem was that Jumbah had got used to wearing a hat while he was looking after Travis’ new one for him, so he got a little bit upset when he had to hand it over.  This made the boy and girl feel sorry for him, so they sorted out a very snazzy number for his very own.

Jumbah

Cool huh?  He says he may have to temporarily take it off later in order to hear the questions on University Challenge properly to ensure his winning streak continues.  He says he might let the girl win to say thanks for the hat, but he isn’t quite sure if he can bring himself to do that yet.

Imminent Arrival

Momu Small

Hello Momu Fans!

I hope you are all keeping nice and dry and warm where you are.  We are.

We are also getting quite excited because any time soon some more lads will be coming for a visit.  We like it when we get visitors, even if it means that the place gets a bit noisy and crazy for a while (you try keeping hold of your nice comfy spot in the bed when visitor lads come bowling in – it is very hard)!

We are never quite sure who is going to arrive, but we do know that Travis will be coming for his hat fitting, so paws crossed it fits otherwise the girl will have to have another go at making a deerstalker for him.  (Jumbah says if this happens, he is more than willing to keep the first one – he says it keeps his little alien head quite warm and toasty, something that he never really felt in space.)

More soon,

Travis’ New Hat

wpid-DSC1072.jpg

Hello there everyone!

We thought we would show you the latest thing that the girl has made for us, well for one of us in particular.  Travis asked for a deerstalker hat after his success at solving the Sherlock mystery in about two minutes the other week, we weren’t sure whether the girl would be able to achieve this, but look!

Jumbah says he is keeping it safe for Travis for when he comes up on Friday to see us all.  We hope it fits him, apparently it is tricky to make a hat without being reminded of the size of the head it has to fit on to.

Momu Meets….Travis

Momu

Hello Momu Fans!

I hope you are all OK and not too chilly in the wintry weather.

It has been pointed out to me by a certain someone that I haven’t introduced him yet, so I thought I would do a little post on him otherwise he might be offended.

Momu: What’s your name?

Travis: Hi everyone my name is Travis.  I’m a tiger – obviously, see I am all stripy.

M: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

T: I am a tiger who enjoys working things out and watching TV with the other lads. Sometimes there are things on the TV that are quite informative (although the boy doesn’t tend to like these ones so much for some reason) and that you can join in on which is fun.  I like Sherlock the best at the moment – although I am cross that it has finished already, three episodes is not enough.  I worked out the last episode in about three minutes.  The humans don’t believe me, but it is true – promise.

I also have a long tail – I think it is still growing, which is weird…

M: How old are you?

T: I don’t really know – I have been in the same house as the boy for a few human years, but I have only been with the boy and the other lads for a shortish time.  I like it here, there is much more going on all the time.

M: What’s your favourite way to spend an evening?

T: Solving mysteries mainly.  We don’t have many of them here to be honest, but I jump at the chance to solve any that pop up.  The main mystery tends to be finding things that the boy thinks he has lost, they are usually very close by and he just can’t see them or he has sat on them a bit.  Silly boy.  I am also involved in the Boar Defence League – but I can’t say too much about that, top secret and all…

Oh and snoozing, I love snoozing!

M: Do you have a best lad friend?

T: I like hanging out with Toby and Steve, but all the lads are friends here.  I prefer to be around lads and people who won’t poke me when I am snoozing (naming no names, BOY!).  I like to sleep with my paws over my eyes – I mean how much more asleep can you look really?  Tsk…

So there you go, Travis is pleased to finally be introduced to you all (he has been looking at me funny for ages and I have only worked out that this is why…)

More soon,

Hello from Jumbah

Jumbah

Hello Earth People, Jumbah here.

Momu asked me to pop over and tell you my University Challenge result from last night myself – he says he is tired of doing all the reporting himself (rude thing).

I won as usual, the girl came second – clever thing – but I suspect it was because her dad wasn’t watching with us.  Actually thinking about it, she came last didn’t she?  I won’t go on about it much because she is actually very nice about it and looks after me well.  I’m rather fond of her (well as fond of her as I can be being an alien with a different set of non human emotions).

That’s all for now – speak to you soon.

Tiny Tim

wpid-DSC1072.jpg

Hello Momu readers!

How are you all – we have missed writing things on this blog, but it has been a busy time for us.  The humans have had Christmas and New Year and it was all hectic.  Then it kept raining and raining, so the boy got very grumpy indeed because he couldn’t go out as much as he would have liked to.  We don’t really know what he was moaning about – bed is so nice at this time of the year anyway, he could have just stayed there for a bit instead of trying to get out in the cold and rain.

We were very excited about Christmas this year when we saw that a new lad had arrived – do you remember me telling you about Tiny Tim?

wpid-IMG_20131225_144908.jpgHe seems to be settling in very well, but he is very quiet.  I think that he might be taking everything in slowly – and there is a lot to take in when you are introduced to so many lads and humans at one time.  Tiny Tim says he is ever so excited to be a tiny lad, because that means that he will get to go on adventures much more easily that the bigger lads.  That means that there will be up to 5 lads going out this year on adventures – me (of course), Mike, Spike, Bluey and now Tiny Tim.  This is very good news.  It also means that there will be even more to talk about together when we are in the girl’s bag travelling to and from the adventures (this part of the day can seem quite long sometimes, so it will be nice to have an extra lad to talk to).

Keep your finger or paws crossed that the weather will cheer up soon for the adventuring to start properly again.

Boo!

wpid-DSC1072.jpg

Hello everyone – hope you are all ok.

We have been having a nice holiday time, and we are glad that it is now time for a brand new shiny new year to start.

We are not so pleased that this is back again;

RAIN!

It makes the boy grumpy and then the girl gets grumpy too.

We are hiding in the only sensible place to be at the moment – BED!

Hope you are safe and toasty warm somewhere comfy too.

More soon,

Love Momu. x
