New Lads!

Hello Momu Fans!

Well, we had an exciting day the day after lad day last week – new lads arrived!

Here are some pictures of them arriving;

Their names are Stargazer and Spice (can you work out which way round the names are?) and they came from the same place as Barley, Captain Jack and Merlin – everyone was ever so excited to see them!

New lads arrive!

Hello Momu Fans!

It’s been a little while since we wrote here, but we have had some exciting times because new lads have arrived again.

This is Captain Jack the Fox and Merlin the Badger. Barley was ever so excited to see them, because they arrived from the same place he did (Primrose Cottage Bears).

Aren’t they good? They are settling in well and have been learning all about being a lad – snoozing, mooching and burrowing when it’s chilly.

wpid-DSC1072.jpgHello Momu Fans!

I am ever so excited today – we have another lad to introduce to you!

Here is Stoooo-ooooo-ooo-o.  (He says you have to say it like that, it is very important for some reason, we are not sure what this reason is.)

Stooooo-ooooo-ooo-o is a medium sized lad, but he is quite heavy so he can be useful for lots of things he says.  We are just pleased that there is another lad to help with things and also to mooch around with – lads love that!

Stooooo-ooooo-ooo-o might look a little bit scary because he is on the big side, but actually he is a lovely soft bear who likes to have his snout stroked.

He is very pleased to be here with a lot of other lads, and we are ever so pleased that he has joined us.

Exciting Post Arrived Today!

Whoohooo!  Hello Momu readers!

Today was a very exciting day indeed and it is only just gone 9 in the morning!  Do you remember I told you that we had won a goody bag from Tedmund-Ted the other day?  Well today it arrived in the post!

Momu and his big letter

It was a huge parcel – I had to get the girl to help me open it – I mean, I wasn’t really going to be able to manage it by myself was I, look at the size of it!

Here is what we found inside – the lads and me are ever so excited!

You're a winnerYippee!  We are winners!

BagA useful bag for carrying things in.

Photo FrameA pretty photo frame – I must remind the girl to get a photo of all the lads printed up to put inside…

A new ladLOOK A NEW LAD ARRIVED!! Happy times!

Look what we got!Isn’t it amazing?  We might take a little bit of time to recover from all the excitement this parcel has caused!  We might even have to start teaching the new lad how to mooch and snooze early today – especially as there is no sun to speak of (Freddy was quite cross because he has no sun again and Toby has found some at the boy’s house, but he cheered up a lot when the post arrived).

We are sure that the new lad would like to have a little rest – it can’t have been nice to travel all that way in an envelope.

We will chat to him in a bit to see what he would like to be called.

Momu meets Snowy

Well Howdy Momu fans!  How’s things?

I’ve got another lad for you to meet today – Snowy!

Momu: What’s your name?

Snowy: Hello Momu’s readers.  How are you?  My name is Snowy.

M: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

S: Certainly.  I came into the girl’s life one Christmas time (I love Christmas, don’t you?) when she was about 7 years old.  I’m not quite as white as I was when I got the name Snowy – but I am a bit afraid of the washing machine as any sensible lad should be.

M: How old are you?

S: I reckon I am around 22 human years old.  That’s quite an age for a bear like me, let me tell you.

M: What’s your favourite way to spend an evening?

S: Oh, that’s a tricky one – there are so many options.  I like to read with the girl, watch TV mainly with the boy and generally relax – I’m getting on a bit you know.

M: Do you have any favourite catchphrases or sayings?

S: Oh I don’t think so – the other lads would maybe be better placed to tell you if I do. [He does mention his age quite a lot – Freddy]

M: Do you have a best lad friend?

S: I like Freddy because we tend to both curl up with the girl when it is sleeping time.  I also like Whitey – he is even older than me!  I know, hard to believe isn’t it?

So there you go – I hope you enjoyed meeting Snowy.  We are hoping the weather might cheer up soon – it has been ever so grey here all day.  We have hardly bothered getting out of bed at all.

More soon,

Hi everyone!

It’s a bit messy here at the moment because the girl is moving in a couple of days; lots of things are in boxes and also in a mess on the floor.  The girl says this is normal, we are not overly sure about that.

I thought I would tell you a little bit about another lad today – Bluey!  Bluey has taken refuge at the boy’s house for a bit to get away from the chaos at the flat.

Bluey is called Bluey because he is blue (we don’t like to assume that you understand the lads’ names even if they are pretty obvious).

He came from beside the sea in the same rescue mission that saved Ratty.  He is very small like me and Mike.  In fact he used to go to work with the girl before me and Mike took over.  He said he had to stop after a while because it was so boring (we are secretly really pleased that we don’t have to go back either – it was dull).

Bluey had a bit of a scare earlier this year because his arm got loose and nearly came off.  He was a very brave lad and had an emergency operation to secure it again.  He is as good as new now, and has a posh new ribbon for not being scared.

Bluey says he likes a quiet life in general, and likes to spend time with Whitey because they are both named after colours.  He is sometimes called upon to help with the boar effort though; he says he doesn’t mind so much because he is small and can attack fast.

Ratty tells me that the Anti – Boar Defense League have been really busy lately because they have been hearing very loud boar noises at night times.  They also think that the boar may have recruited drones because they sometimes have attacks from the air too.  The girl is crocheting a net for the boar effort so the lads can try and trap it once and for all.
